शरद् f. [शॄ-अदि Uṇ.1.129]

1 The autumn, autum- nal season (comprising the two months आश्विन and कार्तिक); यात्रायै चोदयामास तं शक्तेः प्रथमं शरद् R.4.24.

-2 A year; त्वं जीव शरदः शतम्; शरदामयुतं ययौ R.1.1; U. 1.15; धारिणीभूतधारिण्योर्भव भर्ता शरच्छतम् M.1.15.
